MILAN - The Alberta Ferretti Spring/Summer 2012 collection show at Milan Fashion Week is highlighted as one of the must-see shows of the season thanks in part to its bright colors and tropical trends in signature Ferretti style. Makeup Artist Diane Kendal explains the makeup look. "It's an easy look for people to pick up back at home," she says before noting the light foundation coverage with a mix of peach and orange on the apples of the cheeks. There's a highlight on the cheekbones, nose, and top of the lips and they're filling in eyebrows. The look is finished with a little bit of eyeshadow in the crease of the eye, black cream liner and no mascara. Runway Hairstylist Guido Palau says that the hair is a kind of hippie look and they're adding hair extensions so it's quite long and kind of unkept looking. He's making it look wet to kind of give it that glossy feel. "So it's kind of romantic, but a little tougher," he sums up. "I had taken my initial inspiration from what we're all calling the urban jungle today," says designer Alberta Ferretti on her collection, "It's open to the interpretation of each woman that puts it on." The geometric prints and other patterns represent villages in South Africa, according to the designer. "She underlines what's best in being a woman," adds top model Anja Rubik.
